Framed in archival gilt, archival matted frame along with 1833 steel engraving of McKean, with facsimile autograph. A beautiful ensemble.

Original holographic letter written November 8, 1791 by Pennsylvania governor Thomas McKean, who also was one of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This framed document, which has some water staining, but not in the written area, also is framed with a smaller 1833 steel engraving of the Peele portrait of McKean. The steel engraving also has McKeans signature in facsimile. Very Good. Item #10518
