Full Calf Binding. 8vo. 8 uniformly bound contemporary full calf bindings with an early re-backing that may still contain the original black spine labels with titles in gilt and devorative gilt borders. Spines with 5 raised bands and volume numbers in gilt. This 11th edition of Rollin's famous work on ancient history contains 13 folding maps, 4 folding engravings and a frontispiece to volume one. A few of the maps are with open tears. Bindings with some wear, but solid joints not cracked. As mentioned, an early re-backing was done on the volumes, but in a fitting and tasteful style. Good.
