Double blind-ruled margins on front and rear covers. Gilt ruled edges. All book edges red. Endpapers not attached any longer, but old vellum waste is visible in both gutters. Work in Latin. James Ussher was born in Dublin into a wealthy family in 1581 and became the Archbishop of Amagh. He died in 1656 and Oliver Cromwell had him interred in Westminster Abbey. A very scarce book, readily found as the 2nd London edition printed nearly 50 years later, this edition remains extremely scarce. Very Good. Item #11466
