First US Edition (translated from the French by Hakon Chevalier from the original title 'L'An Cinq de la Révolution Algérienne' (The Fifth Year of the Algerian Revolution) with an introduction by Adolfo Gilly. Frantz Fanon (1925-1961), was an Afro-Caribean French physician and psychiatrist. Fanon writes of the Algerian resistance and cultural transformation during the Algerian Revolution and fight for freedom from France. Ex-library copy (SUNY at Buffalo) with stamps on all edges, call number pasted onto upper left corner of front cover, with stamp sheet and faculty loan form (dated 1976) paper-clipped into rear of volume. Also included a 2022 bio of Fanon from the New York Review. Binding worned along edges, color fading slightly from cloth. Second flyleaf at front of volume with a puncture and tear, but still all present. Sadly the Dust Jacket does NOT remain. Acceptable / No Jacket. Item #14900
